New Open Arts Network Partners!!
Fractured Atlas is pleased to announce it’s newest Open Arts Network partners (if you don’t know what the Open Arts Network is, click on the link above)!
We are pleased to welcome:
- Dance/USA, the national, non-profit organization that provides services and leadership to enhance the country’s infrastructure for dance creation, education, and dissemination. Their branch offices include our good friends Dance/NYC, Dance/MetroDC, and Dance/Philadelphia.
- Creative Capital Foundation, a New York City-based nonprofit organization that “acts as a catalyst for the development of adventurous and imaginative ideas by supporting artists who pursue innovation in form and/or content in the performing and visual arts, film and video, and in emerging fields.” Creative Capital Foundation is the organization behind the MAP Fund grants that many of our members have received.
- The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), “the voice of the industrial design profession, advancing the quality and positive impact of design.” If you’re wondering what an industrial designer is, it’s basically an artist who designs the products we use everyday (everything from the toothpaste tube to the Blackberry) to optimize their function, value, and appearance.
- New Dramatists, “the nation’s oldest nonprofit center for the development of talented playwrights.” Some New Dramatists alumni include playwrights Horton Foote, August Wilson, and Susan-Lori Parks, among others.
- Pump Project Art Complex, a non-profit art venue in Austin, TX, that provides low-cost studio space, gallery facilities, exhibition opportunities, and other resources to emerging and established artists. We’re excited to keep expanding our base of members in the Austin area — one of the best arts hotspots in the nation!
