The Rita & Burton Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing @ NYU’s 2009 FESTIVAL OF NEW WORKS includes a series of panel discussions and workshops in addition to the presentations & readings they have scheduled.
I am participating in a breakfast panel discussion on Saturday titled “Challenges and Resources: Making work in New York City”. This panel will discuss the challenges facing early-career artists in New York City who wish to produce or present their own work, and will discuss the resources available to meet those challenges. It will be moderated by longtime Fractured Atlas member, Stacey Cooper McMath, Program Officer at the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
Stacey is also teaching a workshop on Saturday called “Producing for Artists: Making your work a reality“. I strongly encourage anyone who is interested and available to attend - she is a whiz at this stuff.
