Philly Arts Community — I Need Your Advice

Adam Huttler and I are headed to Philadelphia to meet with members of the Philadelphia arts community for a few days this month, and I’ll be staying in town over the weekend of June 26-28. I need your help — what’s happening on the arts scene that weekend that I should be sure to catch?  Many thanks for the assistance!

    Tim-

I work for a capacity-building grants program for Philadelphia arts organizations & would love to meet, if yr schedule permits? I’m a new follower of Fractured Atlas & would love to know more about your work.

…and to answer your question, there’s a great exhibition at the Fabric Workshop by some of the areas best contemporary artists, including Ryan Trecartin, and a fascinating show at Philadelphia’s ICA about Sun Ra.

Bowerbird and Ars Nova Workshop are worth checking out, if they have concerts that weekend. They don’t have anything listed for those dates right now but I guess that could change.

Thanks everyone for your helpful suggestions. Adam and I are really looking forward to our time in Philadelphia — I’ll let you know how it goes. (Any last minute ideas are appreciated as well.)
