I’m Goin’ to Disney World!
Not really… But, I am going to Central Florida to speak with folks in the local arts community!
If you are an artist/creative professional, arts administrator, or even just an advocate for the arts, come join me at a community arts forum on Tuesday, August 25th at 7PM at the Maitland Art Center. The event is co-sponsored by the arts center and our Open Arts Network partner, Women’s Caucus for Art.
This will give you the opportunity to meet a real, live Fractured Atlas staff member (we do exist beyond the internet!) and mingle with other local artists. We will talk about programs, services, and other opportunities available to artists like you — many of which you may be unaware of. And, we’ll also be asking for your input, with questions like:
- What makes the Central Florida arts community unique?
- What local service organizations are helping artists like you?
- What artist services are sorely needed in your area?
- How is the economic recession impacting you or your organization?
- Do you communicate/network with other local artists or arts organizations?
- If we were to create Central Florida-specific services, what would those look like?
We hope that if you’re in the area, you will consider attending. And, please tell your friends… The more, the merrier!
