We Want Your Pics!
I’ve always believed that the best way to promote Fractured Atlas is to promote our members. I mean, who wants to hear about a boring old service organization when there are vertigoats out there? That’s why we do the member profiles on the blog, provide online profiles for our fiscal sponsees, and all the rest.
Over the next year or so we’re going to be ramping this up, making you guys the centerpiece of things like our annual report and promotional materials. But to do that, we need photos of your work!
So here’s how this is going to work:
1) We love Flickr. If you’re a Flickr user, make sure you update your member profile with your Flickr username, so that we can find your Flickr photos.
2) We’ve added a checkbox where you can grant (or revoke) permission for Fractured Atlas to use your photos in our promo materials.
3) If you say it’s okay, we may use your images here or there. We’ll provide attribution wherever possible, which is hopefully good for some exposure. (For example, our annual report gets sent to loads of major funders, etc.)
Thanks! Any questions?

sounds good! Would/could you give us a heads up that you’re using a specific photo?
Unfortunately it’s not practical to provide that specific heads up. That’s because many of our applications will randomly select photos (from a predefined subset of “good” ones) for use in, say, a slide show. I realize that’s not ideal, but it’s a limitation of our current setup. If that’s not something you’re comfortable with, then you should probably revoke permission for us to use your pics.
