Fiscal Sponsorship, meet!

succeed-artfullyWe’re now three weeks into the private beta of, Fractured Atlas’s new online software for managing your tickets, donations, and contacts. So far, 20 brave arts organizations have ventured into the thrilling terra incognita of pre-release software. Early feedback has been quite positive, and we’re diligently plugging away at features, tweaks, and the occasional bug fix.

Today we’re opening the door a bit wider by inviting our fiscal sponsees to join the party. I’m pleased to report that now integrates with Fractured Atlas’s fiscal sponsorship program. If you’re a sponsored artist or group, here’s what that looks like in practice:

  1. You can connect your Fractured Atlas membership to your account.
  2. Your entire donation history will be imported, including transaction records and donor records. Once it’s in, you have full control over how you use it.
  3. Future donations for the purposes of your project will be imported to in near real-time.
  4. Using’s donation widget, you can collect donations (to Fractured Atlas for the purposes of your project) on your own website. All it takes is a few lines of Javascript, and any reasonably skilled web designer should be able to customize how the widget looks and feels on your site. Meanwhile, transactions are processed using’s secure, elegant shopping cart.
  5. If editing your website isn’t an option, you can still take donations on the Fractured Atlas site or on as well.
  6. If you have ticketed events, you can sell tickets using and allow ticket buyers to tack on a donation at the time of purchase.
  7. Donations processed via show up instantly in your Fractured Atlas sponsored fund.
  8. The normal 3.5% credit card processing fees are waived on donations to fiscal sponsees. We assess the regular 6% administration fee and that’s it.
  9. More awesomeness is on the way. We want to be a no-brainer for our fiscally sponsored artists, and we’re going to work hard to make it useful.

  1. Eugene:

This sounds like a wonderful project! Can you please provide more details about the cost of use. Thanks.

  2. Adam Huttler:

    Hi Eugene,

Basic functionality is free for producers/organizations. For fiscal sponsees, the only fees would be for ticket sales processed by credit card. In those cases, your ticket buyers would pay a $2/ticket surcharge.

  3. Eugene:

    Hello Adam,

Thank you for your response. Just to clarify, if we are selling tickets the cost would be 3.5% for credit card processing plus a $2/ticket surcharge?

  4. Adam Huttler:

    Eugene - yes, that’s correct.

  5. Eugene:

    Thank you, Adam.
