Below is a brief introduction for
"Of the Egg In the Heart"
an installation which fills your experience with diorama egg shells with photographs printed inside, dried hog intestines with love letter scrolls written in length, video animation, and your experience with the glance of everyone who has come to see...
"How does love or infatuation expand from intrigue or desire through pressing need and into dependency? Two people combine their efforts to make perfect; a blend between two attractions. Haste tears into time, in bursts of sharing; the binding glue, way beyond the meeting of two. Becoming ‘One’ cracks open change on the edge of either; to blend and shape a complete feeling of new perfection; the best they thought to accomplish on their own. As two come to pass by the initial beauty that forsakes their attempts, it grips a gut feeling out of control in a powerful love captivating its players. This transformation of intrigue into relinquishment, then perfection into disillusionment during the process of love between two beings, intrigues me. What are the cravings that make a bridge between two separate beings and the actions together that form an analogous star between them? Is it the raw physical grasp on your gut or is it the reasoning running words rampant in your mind, followed by a habitual comfort and simple statements of ‘love’ declaring enormous emotions. These can be the feelings we crave or disdain but escape seldom without pain."
