The Five Boroughs Music Festival is thrilled to invite you to our next performance on April 5th in beautiful Riverdale! Join us for an afternoon of terrific chamber music as we welcome internationally renowned violinist Colin Jacobsen to our roster. Joining him will be 5BMF favorite, pianist Jocelyn Dueck, and 5BMF Artistic Director, baritone Jesse Blumberg.

April 5th's program will feature works by Louis Spohr (on the occasion of his 224th birthday!), Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber, Charles Ives, and Christopher Tignor. In addition, we are especially proud to present Lisa Bielawa's riveting song cycle, The Lay of the Love and Death. This piece, set to English translations of Rilke, was commissioned in 2005 by the Joyce Dutka Arts Foundation, Inc., a Bronx-based organization, and was premiered by Blumberg, Jacobsen and Dueck in Alice Tully Hall in 2006.
