Newspeak returns to the Brooklyn Lyceum for a very special concert dedicated to iconoclastic composer Frederic Rzewski; one part tribute, and one part challenge. With Rzewski himself in attendance, the band will perform two of his pieces, including the overdue US premiere of "The Price of Oil," as well as equally feisty works by Schanzer, Little, Bettison, and Hearne. The show will be hosted by Terrence McKnight from WNYC's Evening Music.
