Round on Both Sides

Round on Both Sides is the latest short film project from award-winning filmmaker, Marquette Jones, New York, NY. Inspired by her years of legal work in juvenile justice, HIV/AIDS and the family court system, Ms. Jones spins a tale that drives at the heart of many custody dilemmas and fueling many family dramas: what is truly in the best interest of the child and which potential guardian will best protect that interest.

Round on Both Sides is being produced as a non-commercial film with the primary intended distribution channel being the international film festival circuit.

All the principles in this project have joined together for the same goal. This goal is to create the highest quality product possible and to demonstrate each of their own unique talents. Each member has a true passion for the art and business of film, making this not only an exciting and rewarding experience but also a pathway to a future in feature film production.

The principal photography is set to begin September 2008.

The fundraising plan for this film includes a mix of humanities grants, in-kind donations, and individual contributions.
