white road Dance Media was founded by choreographer Marisa Gruneberg in 2003. Since then, the Brooklyn-based company has been fortunate enough to perform original evenings of works presented by WAX, 92 St Y, Mulberry Street Theatre, and the Joyce SoHo and produced by DNA and Triskelion Arts. The company is a two year WPA Free Fest artist and Marisa has received multiple Harkness space grants and is a two-time Joyce SoHo artist in residence nominee.

wrDM seeks, through both performance and community outreach outlets, to make and present dance work that is intellectual, accessible, and artistically refined. A premium is placed on movement invention, spatial design, and above all concept; each piece constructed is a conceptually driven abstract narrative filled with powerful images and committed performances. The company is dedicated to making the world a better place with dance works that anyone can appreciate.
