Perceptions Contemporary Dance Company
Perceptions Contemporary Dance Company was founded in 2007 by Melissa Gendreau. The main purpose of the company is to create art that contributes to the community in meaningful way through service and performance. The company performs for various benefit concerts to help not-for-profit companies and charities. Previous performances have benefited organizations such as M.E.D.A. (Multi-Service Eating Disorder Association) and Community Systems Inc (www.communitysystems.org). The company contributes donations and proceeds to many charities and causes, and participates in free community festivals and organizations.
PCDC focuses on engaging the audience in stories that will inspire and produce a vivid and clear experience for all viewers. The choreography demonstrates a physical language for human emotion and thought, challenging social issues and creating imaginative stories.
