Ancram Opera House Productions

room to move for body and mind

Constructed in 1919 as the Ancram Grange Hall and transformed in 1972 by two ambitious opera lovers, the Ancram Opera House is an intimate theatre with lovely acoustics and a raked stage. Ancram Opera House productions include music, dance, theater, literary readings, film and video, all aimed at enhancing community, inspiration and health in Ancram, a town of some 1200 people in Columbia County, New York. The Ancram Opera House is dedicated to local culture, which they see as essential and endangered.
