Why We've Partnered with eHealthInsurance

eHealthInsurance is the biggest online one-stop shop for health insurance. It's not so different from Priceline or Orbitz. Instead of searching for travel deals, you'll be able to hunt down the best deals on health insurance. Some of the key advantages that eHealthInsurance offers:

  1. Greatest choice. eHealthInsurance offers the largest selection of plans by many reputable insurers, which you can then compare side by side, instantly.
  2. It's easy to search. You can refine your options by a number of different factors. Getting a quote is free, and you're not obligated to purchase coverage. So, go ahead. Comparison shop all you want.
  3. It's transparent. You should be able to see similar plans and compare them side by side. There's nothing wrong with a little healthy competition.

A Word on Prices

How much a plan costs are based on a bunch of factors, including your age, zip code, and medical history. Final rates may differ from quoted rates based on your individual medical history. Health insurance rates are set by law, so the same plan will not differ in price, whether it's obtained through a local broker, eHealthInsurance, or directly with the insurance company.

Plans offered through eHealthInsurance are NOT guaranteed issue; unfortunately, you can be turned down for coverage. These plans are individual plans and NOT group coverage.

Why Health Proponent?

Dealing with health insurance companies and health care providers can be a gigantic pain. At Fractured Atlas, we know this all too well. Health Proponent is a membership service that offers personalized assistance to help resolve a range of healthcare- and insurance-related issues. It's now available to Fractured Atlas members at a special discounted rate.

How does it work?

Whenever you (or a family member) have a healthcare or insurance-related issue, a Personal Health Advocate is assigned to work on the case, and basically, does all of the legwork. Your Personal Health Advocate makes all the necessary calls to providers, the insurance company, and any other applicable parties until the issue is resolved or you've got an answer to your questions.

Eligibility and Enrollment

You must be a Fractured Atlas member. You as well as your spouse, dependent children, parents, and parents-in-law are eligible to access Health Proponent's services under the annual $29.95 fee, whether insured or uninsured.

Afterwards, a fixed price model applies. It's $98 for the 1st case. Then, the fee drops down to $89 for all subsequent cases. However, the case fee is only $49 for help in finding providers/specialists and making/expediting doctors' appointments.

For medical bill negotiation, Health Proponent's fee is 25% of the savings achieved. (Case fees do not apply to medical bill negotiation). For instance, if you had a medical bill of $4,000 bill and Health Proponent successfully negotiated it down to $2,000, their fee would be $500. There is no fee for bills that aren't successfully negotiated down.

To enroll and get access the special pricing, you must:
