Seeking playwrights for the TSP Playwrights Platform

TURTLE SHELL PRODUCTIONS - a theatrical organization of professional playwrights, directors, actors, and designers committed to producing works of superior quality - is in the process of forming a new Playwrights Platform as an integral adjunct to our theatre company.
We are entering on our sixth year of producing plays, with a reputation for quality productions In New York City in our own theatre in the heart of the Times Square area.
THE FOLLOWING COMBINATION OF FACTORS OFFERS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES TO THE TURTLE SHELL PLAYWRIGHT
To be part of a likeminded dedicated group of writers working together in a supportive atmosphere to create and develop new works.
You would have the Turtle Shell Terrapin Troupe – a selected company of talented actors to draw on for casting your presentations in the workshop.
As a further stage in the development of your play, your reading-ready work could be selected for a stage reading to be presented to an invited audience in our very own theater.
And you would be part of the Turtle Shell Productions Company. We create theater focusing on current issues, ethics, culture, and history. We pride ourselves on creating a safe haven where artists may grow in their craft and collaborating on productions that celebrate the universal truths of human experience.
We have produced over 100 plays including Five By Tenn, Blues for Mister Charlie, PUCK’d, Ourselves Alone, The 8 Minute Madness Playwright Festival, The Aspern Papers and Dreams .
TO APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP
A resume, a letter of intent (tell us about yourself), and three samples of your writing for evaluation.
AS MEMBERS OF THE PLAYWRIGHTS GROUP
Meetings will be held every other Monday at 6:00 PM at Turtle Shell Productions at 300 W. 43rd St., Ste. 403.
Donations of $5-$10 are suggested for each session to cover the cost of a professional facilitator and space rental when needed.
There is an annual fee of $50 for members. There is no application fee.This news release has been viewed 149 times.
