Fractured Atlas Update

Happy Spring!!
Fractured Atlas is excited to announce the following news:
Our Executive Director, Adam Forest Huttler, has been invited to present at the Americans for the Arts (www.artsusa.org) annual conference. The session, concerning Fractured Atlas' emerging national strategy for healthcare and the arts, will also offer a presentation by Jim Brown of The Actor's Fund (www.actorsfund.org).
Fractured Atlas has formed three new partnerships this quarter! Art for Progress (www.artforprogress.org), ArtistShare (www.artistshare.com), and Shooting People (www.shootingpeople.org) are now partners in the Open Arts Network (OAN). The OAN is a national alliance of service organizations in the arts that share resources and information for the benefit of artists in all disciplines. We're very excited to work with them and welcome their members to our organization!
In related news, we are very pleased to announce that the National Endowment for the Arts has awarded Fractured Atlas a grant of $12,000 to continue its expansion of the Open Arts Network. We are very grateful for the NEA’s support of our work to provide affordable health care to a national community of artists.
We would also like to thank The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, for its recent approval of a $10,000 grant award to Fractured Atlas. The award will support the development of online grant submission software in conjunction with Meet the Composer (www.meetthecomposer.org) for use in its regrant programs. The project represents the first phase of a larger initiative to develop a more sophisticated version of the software that will be made available free of charge to small grantmakers, including family foundations, community funders, and regranting organizations.
