Asian papermaking meets the world
Artist, papermaker, and writer Aimee Lee has built a life that centers on the history, practice, and contemporary art form of hand papermaking. Since 2007, she has focused on Korean paper, hanji, and its vast possibilities. This includes directly using plants and working seasonally to cultivate, harvest, and process them to create high-quality paper. She continues to share her process, research findings, and discoveries with audiences worldwide. Her new studio and garden will support hanji and Asian papermaking, and offer numerous opportunities for new students from one-day events to long-term apprenticeships.
