Melanie A. Stinson
Embrace the Magic!
Melanie Stinson is a creator of enchantment experiences, a working artist and writer who loves to inspire and share with others. With an undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University in English and dance, graduate study at New York University in dance education, and extensive professional training in writing for children, screenwriting, ballet, and bodywork therapy, Melanie has presented her art and relaxation experiences online as well as in much of northwest Ohio. She has taught for the Creative Arts Program at BGSU in Ohio, and the Nutmeg Conservatory and Watertown School of Dance in Connecticut.
Continuing her long-time arts enchantment experiences, Melanie intends to raise funds for author-artist Embrace-the-Magic school visits in Bowling Green, Ohio and surrounding areas. Melanie wants to visit schools to work with children who may need her special brand of magic. But such visits cost money.
The artist and author plans to bring her Magic Art Cards, unusual stones, and her one-of-a-kind wearable art to inspire writing, learning, and feeling fascinated and FUNfilled to area schools in fall 2012 and winter 2013.
Melanie's newest project, the documentary film, "Conversations: How Dance Changed Their Lives" has been delayed due to circumstances beyond the artist's control.
