City Love Song

City Love Song is a project in travel and storytelling.

In 2009, I traveled America by rail, making stops in 24 cities to give free performances of a story about New York City.

In 2010, those 24 cities (and the railways between them) became the subject for the second story in the City Love Song project: a traveler's tale of America, presented at 59E59 Theaters and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

In 2011, "America" and a re-written "New York City" were presented in tandem for two weeks at 59E59 Theaters. At the end of this run, City Love Song launched globally, with free performances of "America" given in the public squares of 13 cities on 6 continents.

In 2012, City Love Song will tour the States once again, delivering a traveler's tale of our global neighborhood to people across America.

In 2013, City Love Song will return to the Off Broadway stage for its final performances.
