The Mobile Pinhole Project

In workshops guided by professional local artists, young people go inside the camera and experience photography at its most basic components: light and paper. Prompted by guiding questions, youth work together to create a large format photograph that represents their collective insight into identity, culture, and place. By bringing the VanCam to local neighborhoods, demonstrating photography at a human scale, and guiding youth to visually explore their communities, the Mobile Pinhole Project makes artistic expression geographically, technologically, and conceptually accessible.
