Experimental Media Art Residencies, Resources, and Exhibition Opportunities
Signal Culture encourages creation of new work, building of community, and connection to history in the field of experimental media art by providing artists, researchers, and innovators with residencies, resources, and exhibition opportunities.
We have built a hybrid analog/digital experimental media art studio. We have begun hosting artists in residence. We are scheduling researchers in residence and building a studio for innovators in residence to design tools for artists to use.
Our first exhibition, in collaboration with the Rochester Contemporary Art Center, signals_now_ featured work by Kristin Lucas, Peer Bode, Joe McKay, and Phillip Stearns. We currently have an exhibition at the Everson Museum of Art called Performing Media: Works by Signal Culture Artists in Residence. This is up through January 11, 2015.
