Members of Fractured Atlas can purchase insurance to cover their rented and owned equipment. This includes coverage for sound, lighting, and camera equipment, as well as for computers, hardware, and software, and also for props, sets, and costumes.
How Much Does it Cost?
The cost of equipment insurance is directly related to the amount of coverage requested, with a minimum premium of $500.
In addition to the premium, Fractured Atlas also charges an administrative binder fee ($100 or 10% of the premium, whichever is greater). This is the portion of your payment that stays with Fractured Atlas and pays to keep our program going. Binder fees are reduced for renewal polices.
How Long Does it Take?
You receive a quote within 3-5 business days of submitting the application. If you like it, you can purchase the policy instantly online. You can then request certificates as proof of coverage through our website.
Note: most equipment policies are insured by Aspen Insurance Company. Application may be submitted to other carriers as needed.
